ALOHA RIDERS (KIDS)
Let's face it, when some of us were kids, church was BORING! None of us wants church to be a place our kids dread going. The good news is, kids love our Aloha Riders Kids Church. We’ve created fun, engaging, and age appropriate environments where kids learn the Word of God, experience the love of Jesus, and grow in faith and community with their peers!
Little Honu Riders & Honu Riders
Little Honu Riders is our environment where parents can still watch and hear the worship experience while caring for their infants and toddlers who are unimpressed with adult worship but not yet ready for separation from mom or dad.
Honu Riders is our environment for toddlers through age three.
Dolphin Riders is our environment for pre-K and K kids (age 3-6 and fully potty trained).
POINT BREAK (STUDENTS)
Point Break (Noun) \point brāk\
The exciting place where a wave impacts rock jutting out into the water. Point breaks usually have only one take off point and travel in one direction. Trained surfers know how to expertly ride the resulting surging and swelling wave for the adventure of a lifetime.
In the same way, Jesus Christ, our rock, impacts all of creation, creating a surging and swelling wave of God’s directional purpose throughout our world. Our goal is to help middle and high school students catch the wave, riding it throughout their life. We teach them how to love God and love people.
Point Break is our weekly worship, friendship, games, food, and teaching environment for 6th-12th grade students.
Swell is our Middle School Student Ministry for 6th-8th graders. During Point Break, Swell breaks off from Surge for age appropriate discussions.
Our students regularly overflow into our community to share the love of God with others through acts of service.
At Waikoloa Community Church you will find a community of heartfelt worshipers. Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30am. You can count on being guided into the presence of God by our gifted musicians, singers, and worship leaders. Pastor G will challenge you with the Word of God in uplifting, relevant and practical ways. Boredom factor? ZERO. It’s all for one purpose, to lift up the name of Jesus and to experience God through our worship.
Aloha Groups are our Small Group Ministry that combine our four purposes of Celebration, Cell, Connection and Care.
EXPLORE is our series of discipleship seminars.
Several Bible studies are offered as well.
Be sure to participate in our Common Grounds Cafe (coffee, pastries and fellowship) in our courtyard from 9:15-9:30am and again from 10:30-11:00am each Sunday.
We also offer fellowship meals, movie nights, large group outings, and other special events. These opportunities ensure our church ‘ohana continues to stay connected with each other. It’s a great way to make new friendships and strengthen existing ones.
We have many opportunities to get involved in both local and world–wide missions. To name a few, we support YWAM Missionary Chimene Djeumo. We sponsor nine children in various parts of the world through World Vision. We support the ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. We partner with the Salvation Army to give away hundreds of Thanksgiving meals each year. We provide Christmas gifts for dozens of children in our community. We help homeless and hungry people on the Big Island through our support of Big Island Giving Tree, The Salvation Army: Honoka’a and The Food Bank. We also provide groceries to sixteen local families each month.
