Pastor G has shared many times that his calling to be a pastor came to him in a time of prayer when God led him to 2 Timothy 4:1-5, part of which cautions that people need to be carefully and regularly taught the word of God because:

"... the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."

With that starting point, Pastor G starts a new four-part series this week called MYTHconceptions. He takes on a few of the myths people believe about God and Christianity in general. This week he takes on the myth that "God Just Wants You To Be Happy."
