Part 39: Mark 10:32-45

When Jesus Walks Ahead: The Road to Glory Runs Through the Cross
Mark 10:32–45

As Jesus sets His face toward Jerusalem, His followers feel a strange mix of awe and fear — because they sense He’s leading them toward something costly. Today, we watch Jesus clearly predict His suffering, rejection, and death, only to have His closest disciples ask for seats of power beside Him. What follows is one of the sharpest redefinitions of greatness in all of Scripture. Jesus exposes our craving for glory, flips the world’s definition of leadership upside down, and reveals that true greatness is found not in thrones, but in the towel and the cross.
