The Answer ~ Part 2
In Matthew 7:1 - Jesus said "Do not judge or you too will be judged." Many people rip this verse out of context and believe we are never allowed to judge anything or anyone for any actions.
In part one of this series Greg showed us multiple Scriptures where we are commanded TO judge as well as multiple Scriptures where we are commanded NOT TO judge. He showed how nuance and context are required for proper understanding. He talked about the difference between judging and condemning and judging and judgmentalism.
With that foundation, this week Pastor G walks us through the full context of Jesus' words in Matthew 7:1 by looking at Matthew 7:1-12. We see that the big idea of Jesus' caution is for us to judge fairly and gently, with motives to help, not harm.
