The Waikoloa Loan Closet is a ministry of our Care Team.
We have an assortment of canes, crutches, walkers, transport wheelchairs, full wheelchairs, and other basic home healthcare items available to loan out to those in need at no cost. We do ask that once you are finished with the equipment you return it to the church so it can be used to help someone else.
Signing of a Release of Liability and Equipment Sign-Out form is required.
Currently, we do not have the resources to deliver or pick up the equipment from homes. All receipts of donations and loaning out of the equipment must be done at the church property. It is easiest if this is done during normal church office hours (9am-1pm Monday-Thursday).
The inventory changes frequently depending on what items are loaned out and what new items have been donated so please check with the church office before coming by to make sure we have what you need in stock, and to make an appointment to pickup the equipment. If you are unable to come during church office hours, we are sometimes able to arrange for a volunteer to meet you at the church outside of those normal office hours.
If you want to make a donation of equipment, please call the church first to make sure we have room in storage for the equipment, and to make sure it is a type of equipment that we loan out. Please do not leave any equipment donations outside of the church buildings without prior authorization from the church office.
See the list of images and names below to see the equipment we do accept and loan out and the equipment we do not accept or loan out.
