Part 28: Mark 8:27-33

Who Do You Say I Am? — The Hinge Point of the Gospel

Mark 8:27–33 is the hinge of the entire Gospel — the moment when blurry faith begins to come into focus. At Caesarea Philippi, surrounded by pagan idols and the so-called “Gates of Hades,” Jesus turns to His disciples and asks the question that still echoes today: “Who do you say that I am?” Peter’s answer is powerful… but incomplete. In this message, Pastor G unpacks what it really means to confess Jesus as the Christ — not just the miracle worker or moral teacher — but the Messiah who must suffer, die, and rise again. Because before there can be a crown, there must be a cross. And the same question still comes to each of us: Who do YOU say that He is?
